Delightfully Distracted

Welcome to my New Home on the Web!

I'm a single Southern born, college educated "Mom" to one puppy princess.  Or at least she thinks she's a princess.  I'm filled with contradictions.  I love vintage and vintage styling in clothes, houses and many other things...but also adore modern conveniences and technology. 

 I'm interested in good health...but some of my favorite foods are not so healthy.  I believe one's work should not be one's identity...and yet, I believe you are blessed if you have a job you can love.   I believe it's important to vote.  But if you want to talk politics...don't talk to me.  It bores me to no end.  And I have no tolerance for those who try to use it to pick arguments.

I believe each person has the right to their own religious beliefs...but that doesn't mean I believe all those beliefs are correct.  I don't watch sports of any kind.  I enjoy crafts...but am no Martha Stewart, and often take a renegade approach to my crafts rather than following directions. I love books, and magazines, and movies and I love to travel every chance I get (which is not often enough!)..

I believe in God, I believe in the golden rule...I believe in education...and I believe in good manners.  I believe common sense is too uncommon these days.  I believe actions speak louder than words.  I think I'm a good friend...and a good employee.   And there is so much going on in my mind, that I decided to make a space to relocate some of those thoughts to the web.

What will this blog be about?  It will be about those little thoughts running through my head on a given day...my "distractions."  So....time will tell.
